Min. Rachel David

Rachel David, born on February 22nd, is a Brooklyn native of Haitian descent. She has been married to Minister Kenton David, whom she refers to as her other whole, since 2011, and they share two beautiful children. Rachel works as a Customer Success Manager at a major SaaS company and she is also the owner of Xarama Scents - a home fragrance company that she launched at the beginning of 2021. In addition to her love of family and beautiful fragrances, one thing that she holds most dear is the call that God has placed on her life.  

From a very young age, Rachel made the decision to answer God’s call to ministry delivering her first sermon at the age of 14. The sermon was entitled “1-800-Saviour”. Her love for serving in ministry continued to take root at her childhood church, Hebron Seventh-Day Adventist Bilingual Church in Brooklyn, NY. It was there that she served as the Assistant Youth Director, Assistant Sabbath School Superintendent, and Singles Ministry Director.  

After much prayer and seeking God for direction, Rachel was led to become a member of the Miller Evangelical Christian Union Church in 2011. At Miller, active participation from all members is strongly encouraged and as such, Rachel became involved in various aspects of service. She served as the Director of Communications from 2012 to 2017, and during her tenure, she was able to help the church modernize, by adopting a text alert system and by setting up the church’s first social media presence on Facebook. In addition to being a minister, Rachel also continues to be a part of the music ministry with her husband, as a member of the praise and worship team.  

Rachel’s favorite life verse, and the scripture that guides much of her life, is taken from Proverbs 3:5-6 and it states, “trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight.” She feels blessed to be a part of the Miller Evangelical team and she looks forward to seeing what God has in store for her.
