Minister Patricia Layne has devoted most of her life to God and service to the body of Christ at large. She is blessed with a spirit of excellence, integrity, passion, commitment, and love. After accepting Christ as her personal savior as a child on the island of Barbados, she has continued her Christian walk with strength. Minister Layne truly exemplifies the Great Commission of Jesus Christ (Matthew 28:18-20).
She is one of the founding members of Miller Evangelical Christina Union Church, established in 1969 under the pastorate of the late Reverend Austin Miller and Reverend Pearline Miller. She is a tour de force when it comes to teaching, preaching, and providing spiritual guidance through the various ministries under her leadership.
Minister Layne has served as a youth ministry leader, Sunday School Superintendent, Director of New Converts class instruction and she is a certified pastoral care minister, and also a member of the Board of Trustees. In the early 1990s under the pastorate of Reverend Bowles Taitt, Minister Layne became a council licensed minister.
Minister Layne holds a Master's degree in Nutrition and Public Health from Columbia University in New York City, where she saw early on the benefits of incorporating nutritional wellbeing as a crucial component in maintaining spiritual wellbeing.
Minister Layne endeavors to continue using her gifts and talents in proclaiming the good news of the gospel.
